Finally watched the now famous video with the neurosurgeon who gave up practicing surgery after dissatisfaction with his ability to effectively heal people.
His findings after almost two decades of training and practice are pretty simple: diet, exercise, and stress management were often (but not always!) more important than surgery.
I've been thinking myself lately what a prescription like this might look like from doctors:
- 10k steps per day
- way more vegetables (like, mostly vegetables)
Betting just those two simple, tiny interventions would be enough to cure many ailments.
