Tell me about...
I listened to Rick Rubin interview Paula Scher on his Tetragrammaton podcast today.
It's a great interview about art, design, music. It's worth a listen.
I'm new to the show, so I'm not yet familiar with Rubin's interviewing style. But after an hour or so, I've realized a subtle bit of genius in how he interviews: he gets out of the way.
At least 10 times, asks Scher: "tell me about...".
It's so simple, so smart. I'm changing all of my current interview questions to start with this.
- Tell me about projects you've led
- Tell me about what you're excited about
- Tell me about your side projects
Just ask and get out of the way. Gold.
