Introducing Weekend KidzVidz

Im happy to announce the release of a tiny new side project: Weekend KidzVidz. It's been in the back of my mind for a year or so now, and I took some time to finally built it over the holidays.

We have two kids that we read to every weeknight. On weekend nights, we watch YouTube videos together. When we first started the YouTube tradition, we quickly got sucked into the Mr. Beast dopamine feed, which was certainly entertaining at first, but felt less and less good as time went on. So I started looking for channels that were more focused on learning something or showing you something.

Turns out there's a ton of great stuff out there that you'll feel good about watching with your kids on the weekends.

The site is dead simple. It's build with Remix, which I love. Hosted on Vercel, which I love. And uses Resend and React Email, which I newly love, for handling subscriptions. The emails are stored in a simple Supabase table.
